With their commitment to developing women leaders, Tallship Unicorn, Saint Mary's College and University of Notre Dame, have created a partnership for the fifth year to put their women at the helm of a 118-foot tall ship owned by a fellow Saint Mary’s alumna as it sails the Great Lakes in summer of 2010.
"The Tallship Unicorn, like Saint Mary's College, is all about strong women coming together, in a place they love, to transform themselves, each other, and the future."

Dawn Parker Santamaria is a 1981 graduate of Saint Mary's and stands at the helm of two organizations whose missions are all about leadership development for women and teenage girls. “My Saint Mary's experience taught me to value women, their friendship, their intelligence and their supportive nature,” says Santamaria. Her 4 daughters have been raised to believe in the value of the sisterhood, so much so that her oldest 3 daughters have followed in their mother's footsteps. Brynn graduated from Saint Mary's spring 2006, Chelsea in June 2008, and Courtney is finishing her first year.
Tallship Unicorn has welcomed aboard over 400 Saint Mary’s and Notre Dame alumni. Once again in 2010, we invite alumni, students, prospective students and the extended Saint Mary's and Notre Dame family throughout the Great Lakes to step on-board this summer. Join us for one of our many Alumnae Dockside Receptions and Women’s Sailing Programs.
Welcome aboard the Unicorn!
